A New Moon Ritual For Introspection

Updated: Jan 12, 2020

On Monday, December 18th we have our final New Moon of 2017.

This new moon falls in the fire sign of Sagittarius. Since Mercury is also in a Sagittarius retrograde, this is the perfect time to reflect, let go and prepare to walk confidently into the New Year! Here is a great Goddess ritual for introspection :

“You will find that it is necessary to let things go; simply for the reason that they are heavy. So let them go, let go of them. I tie no weights to my ankles.” C. Joybell C.

New Moon Goddess Ritual :

1: From December 18th to December 31st, write one thing that you are leaving behind on a piece of paper every night. Place those pieces of paper in a goddess jar on your meditation altar or next to your bed.

2: On December 31st, create a space that makes you feel calm by lighting sage, burning incense, and/or turning on music that gives you all of the introspective feels.

3: Take all of the paper from your jar and burn or bury it. Let it all go!

4: Lastly, indulge in a relaxing shower or bath, washing away the past and cleansing the mind.
